StressFullCompensation

On Saturday 8 November 2014 I led a workshop on job burnout for a conference, StressFullCompensation in Halifax, NS.

A primary issue for this conference was the gradual progress in court rulings and legislation towards acknowledging stress and burnout as legitimate foundations for disability claims. My role in the conference was to provide an overview of job burnout, its current status with regard to compensation in other jurisdictions, and point towards some actions that employers can take to reduce the chances of their employees’ experiencing burnout to the point that would prompt a disability claim.

The attached pdf includes my powerpoint slides.

Can burnout be the basis of a disability claim in your jurisdiction?

Do you think it should be?
